Our tour e will start from visit to Tratzberg Castle which has overlooked the Inn Valley since the 13th century from its perfect hillside location, less than a kilometre from the river Inn. After Tyrol’s independency from the Duchy of Bavaria in the 12th century, the local noblemen needed strongholds to defend their newly acquired freedom. Thus, a fortress was constructed at a strategic location. It’s called Schloss in German means palace, which in this case is a more accurate description. Because, you what you get see of Tratzberg is a great insight, however small, to the life of high society in Habsburg Austria. After all, Tratzberg Castle was Emperor Maximilian’s I hunting-lodge. Next we will visit to the Wolfsklamm Gorge impresses nature lovers with thundering waterfalls, emerald green pools and a refreshing, rising mist. Roaring water torrents, the burbling of Stanser Brook and swaying bridges ensure the hike through Tyrol’s most beautiful gorge is a truly memorable experience. All the more so in summer, as the gorge is refreshingly cool. Exactly 354 steps, timber bridges and galleries carved into the rock lead upwards to the pilgrimage monastery of St. Georgenberg. Over 100 years ago, on the 11th August 1901 to be precise, Wolfsklamm Gorge was designated as a “Pearl of the Tyrolean Lowlands”. After the gorge, the pilgrim’s trail continues on to St. Georgenberg, the oldest place of pilgrimage in Tyrol, where you will find yourself in the Alpenpark Karwendel Nature Reserve. Just before you reach this monastery that was hewn from the rocky environment, you will pass the “Hohe Brücke - High Bridge”, a listed monument. This stone arch dating back to 1497 once bore the oldest bridge in Tyrol.  After that visit we will drive to city Hall in Tirol. Hall is a beautiful medieval town that grew fat on the riches of salt in the 13th century. The winding lanes, punctuated by pastel-coloured town houses and lantern-lit after dark, are made for aimless ambling.Hall within the County of Tyrol became first cited as a salina near Thaur fortress in a 1232 deed. The modern name dates returned to 1256, and in addition to Halle, Hallein, Schwäbisch Hall or Hallstatt is derived from the Celtic word for salt. Since the 13th century the salt mine at Absam within the Hall Valley north of the metropolis fashioned the main enterprise of the metropolis and its environment. Today it is a very beautiful city where you can spend many time . After we will return to Innsbruck.
