Firstly we will visit to Plzen which was founded at the confluence of the rivers Radbuza, Mže, Úhlava and Úslava in 1295 by the Czech king Wenceslas II. Since its beginning the town became an important trade center at the significant crossroads of the routes linking Norimberg with Regensburg. Between 1599 – 1600 Plzeň was temporarily the seat of the Roman Emperor and Czech King, Rudolf II. The enormous blossoming of the town began in the first half of the 19th century. The Citizen´s brewery was founded in 1842 and the engineering Škoda-Company in the same period as well. There we will with very pleased to arrange for you the visit of the world-known brewery Pilsner Urquell. During our visit to Pilsner Urquell brewery we will familiarise you with brew houses from across three centuries. You will see the brewing kettle in which the first batch of Pilsner Urquell lager was brewed on 5 October 1842. Thanks to the sacrifices and courage of the brewery’s staff, this copper kettle survived both world wars and remains preserved to this day.  In the historic brew house from the early 20th century, we will introduce you to the unique process of brewing Pilsner Urquell beer. You will also view a modern brew house from 2004, which will convince you that although the technology has been developing, the historic way of brewing Pilsner Urquell beer remains the same. We will familiarise you via the exhibits with the daily toil that led to the brewery’s founding and to its worldwide fame. We will show you the willingness, efforts and endurance that have been handed down in Pilsen from generation to generation.Experience the unique atmosphere of the historic beer cellars. You will view the spillage tubs and learn what a “beer blanket” is. The Pilsner Urquell brewery still today produces a small amount of Pilsner Urquell beer here using the traditional method from the era of the first brewer, Josef Groll, which involves fermentation in open wooden vats and maturing in oak lager casks. You will be invited to taste unfiltered and unpasteurised Pilsner Urquell beer at the end of the tour. Next we will visit to Chyse castle which origins date from the year 1169. Over the centuries the chateau went through many changes. It began as a fortified settlement before it was rebuilt as a Gothic castle in the 13th century. In 1578 Chyse castle was transformed into a Renaissance chateau before a Baroque-style reconstruction completed in 1708. Between the years 1856 and 58 one final reconstruction was done. This time the skilled craftsmen created a neo-Gothic redesign. In 1917, world-famous Czech writer Karel Čapek worked at Chyse as a home tutor. After visit to Chyse castle we will continue our tour at fine restaurant of Chyse brewery where you can tast the local beer.
