Our tour we will start from visit to Cristo Rei (Christ the King) is a Catholic monument and shrine located in the city of Almada, across the River Tejo, overlooking Lisbon. Inspired by Rio’s famous Christ the Redeemer statue, the 110 metre-tall Cristo Rei (about 360 feet and 11 inches) was erected in 1959. The views from the statue are stunning, with Lisbon spreading before you. On a clear day, you can see as far as Pena Palace in Sintra, some 20 kilometres (12 miles) away. The second stop of our tour will be at Azeitão is a pretty and properous little village in the region of Setubal. Here you will made your own "Azulejo", a typical Portuguese ceramic tile. This is one of the most famous and important art form in Portugal, that uses european traditional methods of tile making and reproduces antique designs. After the workshop in  Azeitão we will drive to Almendres Cromlech (Cromeleque dos Almendres), or Almendres Megalithic Site, is the largest megalithic monument of the Iberian Peninsula and one of the oldest in the whole world. 2.000 years older than Stonehenge. Its made up of approximately 100 monoliths, with some remodelling and additions to the original layout. This mystical place was built on a location chosen because of the astronomical phenomena related with the annual movement of Sun and Moon. Nowadays, it is surrounded by a beautiful cork oak forest. After short way we will arrival to the oldest stone circle in Southern Europe in the city of Évora, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and see the Roman temple and enter the famous Chapel of Bones. This is the biggest Gothic Cathedral in Portugal and is one of the most impressive works of architecture of its kind.  Évora is called the "White City" and also “City Museum”. Évora dazzles his visitors with lush architectural and artistic, monumental churches, historic squares, white houses and narrow medieval streets. Évora invites you to discover a city that is synonymous of mix of cultures. Cultures that settled indelible marks and are the origin of the Portuguese identity. Romans to the Arabs, Jews to Christians, all its traditions and expressions are clearly present here. The former residence of kings, and a driving center of the empire arts and sciences lands of popular and religious. The last stop of our tour will be at Monsaraz, the graceful medieval , maintains the magic from ancient times like few others in the world. Made of lime and schist, this place whispers us, between the echo of our footsteps in its streets. A lot of magnificent stories could be told about its courageous kings, Knights Templar, brave people and dames of simple beauty. Suspended in time, the historic village, one of the oldest in Portugal. In 1232, King Sancho II recovered it once and for all. With the help and support of the Templars, to whom he finally donates the beautiful Alentejo village. The marks left by the Templar Order, later Order of Christ, still live among the castle walls. After we will return to Lisbon.
