The first stop of our tour will be at Martigues  which located on the banks of the Berre pond, Martigues is divided into three districts, formerly small villages, that are Jonquière, Ferrière and the district of the island called the Little Venice of Provence thanks to its canals. Martigues formerly a fishing town, today a tourist and industrial city. Venetian festivals, with fireworks, jazz, peaches. In the town of Martigues, picturesque fishing villages like Carro, and carriers like La Couronne, allow you to enjoy moments of relaxation by the sea or in the many small restaurants. Between the two is the plain of St Julien, agricultural and viticultural plain, you can taste the famous little rosé Côte de Provence to the wine cellar. You can enjoy many dishes based on fish, bouillabaisse, bourride.Nex stop of our tour will be at city of Art and History, Nîmes which  renowned for its ancient heritage and its especially festive southern atmosphere. The Roman amphitheatre is remarkably well-preserved and dates from the late 1st century and early 2nd century. It is 133 metres long and 101 metres wide and can hold up to 24,000 spectators!  Another flagship monument of the city of Nîmes is the Maison Carrée, a superb Roman temple from the late 1st century, with its columns topped with Corinthian capitals. Opposite the Maison Carrée stands the Carré d'Art, a modern building housing a Contemporary Art Museum. As well as these many attractions, don't miss the Jardin de la Fontaine, a marvellous romantic park listed as a Remarkable Garden, developed in the 18th century around the Nemausus spring and the ancient ruins of the Temple of Diana and Magne Tower. Before leaving Gard's capital, be sure to take a walk in the picturesque alleyways of the old city and enjoy a drink on one of its pretty town squares, such as the Place du Marché, Place aux Herbes or Place de l'Horloge squares. After that we will drive to perched on the Alpilles mountain range, this beautiful listed village of Les Baux-de-Provence. Dominated by the ruins of its citadel, the village possesses charming narrow paved streets lined with restored Renaissance houses. The Saint-Vincent square is the place where the White Penitents chapel and the Saint-Vincent church are, and offers a beautiful view of the area surrounding the village and more especially on the Fontaine valley. The name Les Baux de Provence is a symbol of quality: wine, born of rock and sun are warm, its olive oil is fruity and fiery. However, the essence that makes the charm and flavor so distinctive Provencal villages is there: small squares, shaded terraces, narrow streets and shops. After we will return to Marseilles.
