Our tour will be start at 8 AM and we will go to our first place  called Bitola. Bitola is the second largest city in Macedonia, also a historical center of politics, culture and economics. In the Ottoman Empire, between 1870 and 1930, Bitola was the city of the consulates and diplomacy. The splendor and glory of the old consulate buildings and the houses of the rich trade merchants and Macedonian craft unions still mark the city landscape. Today you will visit Heraclea Lyncestis, the ancient city founded from Filip II,by the middle  of the 4th century BC. The visit of museum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk (the father of modern Turkey) will bring you back to the time when he was a high school student in Bitola. You will pass try “Shirok sokak” and feel the busy  today life of this city, but still with a lot of remains from the past. On the heart of Bitola you will see the famous clock tower and the two mosques. After that we will go to St. Naum monastery through the National Park Galichica by the very beautiful road with fantastic views. One of the oldest and the richest monasteries in Macedonia is St. Naum’s monastery. The monastery is on an elevated plain on the southern coast of the Ohrid Lake, near the springs of the Drim river, and is dedicated to St. Archangel Michail and St. Archangel Gabriel. Its creator St. Naum of Ohrid, contemporary and associate of St. Clement of Ohrid and student of the legendary Cyril and Methodius brothers, had established this monastery towards the end of his life (900-905). St. Naum was well-known as a healer and miracle-worker, which is witnessed by the motifs in the icons painted in the second zone of his crypt. He died in 910 A.D. and was buried in the monastery. During the Ottoman period the church was demolished. In the XVI and XVII century, the foundation of original structure, was used for the construction of the present church, which was later enlarged several times. As one of the inscription reads, the fresco-painting was completed in 1806, when also the chapel of the tomb of St. Naum was painted. From the city harbor with the boat you will have one hour panoramic journey with beautiful views of Ohrid lake, you are going to visit the amazing monastery of st.Naum, and you will have driving with small rowing boats to the springs of river Black Drim.After we will back to Ohrid.
