Our tour will go to the Ethnographic museum Etara in Gabrovo and to Tsarevets fortress in Veliko Tarnovo, where you will see the fortifications and representations of the life of medieval Bulgarians. Etara presents the Bulgarian customs, culture and craftsmanship. It spans over an area of 7 ha and contains a total of 50 objects, including water installations and houses with craftsmen's workshops attached. As a whole, the complex's goal is to illustrate the architecture, way of life and economy of Gabrovo and the region during the Bulgarian National Revival. Our next stop will be in Tsarevets in Veliko Tarnovo. Tsarevets fortress has three entrances. The main entrance is located in the easternmost side of the hill. The castle complex is located in the centre, surrounded by an internal stone wall, two battle towers and two entrances - north and south. It consists of a throne hall, castle church and the king's chamber. Kings Petar, Asen, Kaloyan and Ivan Asen the second lived there. The restoration of the fortress Tsarevets began in 1930 and was completed in 1981 in honour of the 1300 anniversary from the establishment of the Bulgarian state.
