Route: Szeged - Kecskemet - Budapest - Szeged

Our first stop in this tour we will make at the city lying halfway between the Danube and the Tisza Rivers in the heart of the southern Great Plain. Kecskemét is a city ringed with vineyards and orchards that don’t seem to stop at the limits of this 'garden city'. Indeed, Kecskemét’s agricultural wealth was used wisely and today it boasts some of the finest architecture of any small city in Hungary. Along with colourful art nouveau and Secessionist buildings, its museums and the region’s excellent barackpálinka (apricot brandy) are also draws. Our next stop we will make at the Budapest which offers some of the best views in Europe. The city separated and unified by the Danube river offers up some of the best examples of architecture and historical landmarks in the city. During our visit you will take the city tour with short information about most popular sights in Budapest. Starting from the Parliament, you cross the Danube on the Margaret-bridge (Margaret island) and drive to the Royal castle on the Buda side, where you visit the Fishermens' bastion and the Matthias church. After the Citadel you cross Elisabeth-bridge and drive the City-park towards Heroes' sqare on foot, passing by the Opera and St Stephen's basilica and more. After free time we will return to Szeged.
