The first stop in this tour will be at Requena. Step into the 8th century by climbing the steps of the medieval castle for a gorgeous, panoramic view of the Valencian countryside. After a short walk around the small town, we will end in the main plaza where we will visit Moorish caves, underneath the old town, used also in medieval times, for wine storage, among other things. The 22 caves of Cuevas De La Villa, located underneath the picturesque Plaza de la Villa, Requena Caves Vesselsare from the Muslim period, from the ninth to the thirteenth centuries. Some caves have wine storage jars, in others there is a well, a silo and an old ossuary.  Also we will stop at the famed medicinal fountain of Siete Aguas, said to cure ailments of all types. Don’t forget your water bottles! The next stop in the tour will be at picturesque cave village of Alcala del Jucar. Alcala del Jucar is located in an exceptional setting, on a hill below which we find the gorge formed by the Júcar river. Narrow, steep streets lined with well-preserved houses crawl up towards the castle, from which we can have splendid panoramic views of the gorge. The fortress is of Arab origin, rebuilt during Christian times. The bridge that crosses the river was built by the Romans, and rebuilt in the 18th century; it offers beautiful views of the surroundings and leads to the parish church of San Andrés, from the 16th-18th centuries, with a classical entrance portico. On the other side of the river, on the hill, we see a peculiar bullring, unique because of its location, construction, and irregular shape. The natural caves, some of which were turned into old-worlde inns, are common around this area. They have the peculiarity of being able to maintain, naturally, the same temperature in their interior all year round.  Regarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain, do not miss the opportunity to wander through its streets. Also we will visit to Cuevas del Diablo is a vast cave complex with tunnels, a terrace overlooking the river, and a private collection of eccentric and historical artefacts and farming tools. Our last stop will be at Cofrentes where at the indicated time, we'll meet at the Cofrentes pier where we'll board our boat to set sail along Jucar River. We'll go on an hour and a half long boat ride down the 30-kilometre stretch that separates Cofrentes from the town of Cortes de Pallás. We'll cruise past the impressive canyons formed by the riverbed as we marvel at the deep turquoise blue of the water. It'll take your breath away! What's more, during the trip we'll see the Muela de Cortes, the highest peak in the area! You'll also be amazed by the views of Chirel Castle, a medieval fortress that was important in the battles against the Moors in the 18th century. When we arrive at Cortes de Pallás, we'll turn around and make our way back to the starting point. After that we will return to Valencia.
