Our fist place is men monastery Dajbabe.  Dajbabe is a Serbian Orthodox Christian Monastery in Podgorica, Montenegro. It is located in a cave on Dajbabe hill , which raises above Zeta valley. The monastery Dajbabe is a monastery dedicated to Uspenje Bogorodice (Falling into sleep of Holy Mother of God) and it got the name by the village in which it is located. It was founded in 1897. Initially only the space of the cave was used for the church in order for it to be expanded later and took the look of the basic church with chapels. The only visible part of that church is outside the cave and that is a spacious entrance porch with two belfries. The protector monk Simeon Popovic adjusting the pictures to natural shape of the rocks while painting the interior of the monastery. After this place you will go to tne next monastery called Zdreabaonik. The monastery Zdreabaonik is located 2 km from Danilovgrad. This monastery, church of Birth of the Holy Mother of God was raised by St. Stephen from Piperi in 1637. The monastery grew from hermit cell of this saint. From the middle century the fragments of the paintings from the church of St. Cojuror from Slatina have been preserved as well as the records about the raising of the church of St. Archangel Michael in Zdrebaonik, for which Jegor Kovaljevski Russian scientist said: It was built for the first time by King St. Stephen, which can be confirmed by the evidences which are found in the Moraca Monastery”. In Zdreabaonik since 1856 the relics of St. Arsenije from Srem are kept, who was the Serbian archbishop. Zdrebaonik is a great meeting place and at the same time a parish church. Time to hit the road towards the most visited spiritual and mysterious place in Montenegro – Ostrog Monastery. You may have an opportunity to observe bare footed pilgrims climbing up the 3 km long road, in order to reach this holy place and sleep over in the monastery yard. Ostrog was built in 1667 by the monk, Vasilije Ostroški,who lived and died there. His relics are now preserved and considered miraculous. This place gives a good insight into the history of the conservative Orthodox tradition of Montenegro. People from many different countries come to venerate the holy relics of the saint and to ask for help and healing. There are a lot of documented evidences of miraculous healings after visiting the holy relics. After we will back to Podgorica.
