Route: Bratislava - Svaty Jur - Pezinok - Modra workshop Majolika - Bratislava

During this tour we will drive the Wine Road of Malé Karpaty leads through the former royal towns Svätý Jur, Pezinok, and Modra, contiguous villages and ends in Trnava. Apart from cultural and historic monuments you will be certainly intrigued by tradition of varied folklore in individual communes of this region where you can pass nice time in numerous wine cellars tasting the excellent dish like the baked goose with a glass of fine local wine. Varieties of white muscatel such as Rizling vlašský, Rizling rýnsky, Veltlínske zelené,Burgundské biele or blue varieties including Frankovka modrá and Svätovavrinecké are grown here. Müller-Thurgau, Silvánske zelené, Dievčie hrozno, Chardonnay and Portugalské modré. There we will visit to two wineries Renaissance Vineyard House and Historical Wine Cellar, where you can tast the local wines. After we will visit to a wonderful traditional ceramic workshop Majolika in a little town Modra. Modra’s pottery tradition in this region is almost 400 years old (Modra town is also famous for wine making, but that’s not for us). During the workshop you will know about pottery's history and it is really important to mention is that the entire production is hand-made & hand-painted. At the workshop the pottery masters will show to you all the process of the majolika . With the masters you will make your own pottery product that you can take for you like a present from Slovakia. After we return to Bratislava.
