Our first short stop will be at Benidorm , with the stroll to historic sites with  scenic overlooks, and beaches where you will learn about the city’s culture and history. This Benidorm walking tour departs from the historic center, and is the perfect orientation for first-time visitors. Benidorm also has a lovely old town area inbetween the Levante and Poniente beaches. This area is very traditional, very Spanish and quite peaceful. This area is centred around the Canfali vantage point (Balcony of the Mediterranean) and the Parque de Elche.The old town district has all the major shops of Benidorm as well as some good bars. The streets are narrow and winding also you will see the San Jaime church with it’s landmark blue dome.Our next stop will be at the Castell de Guadalest was declared a Historic-Artistic Site in 1974 and subsequently a Site of Cultural Interest. 11th century fortress, created by the Muslims, is located on the rock in the highest part of the municipality.It had a very important role throughout the Middle and Modern Ages, thanks to its strategic location. The earthquakes of 1644 and 1748 and the blast that suffered in 1708 in the War of Succession were to blame for its destruction. After we will drive to Polop which has a history as a strategic place between the valley of Guadalest and the coastal area. Because of that, they build a fort on top of the mountain to monitor any siege. This made it a privileged enclave. Also you will visit to Los Chorros where the fountain of the jets is the emblem of the city of Polop. 221 jets extend along the entire plaza to channel the water from the old springs of the mountain to an irrigation channel. It is a tradition to see the inhabitants fill bottles of fresh water from the mountains for use at home. The next place in our tour will be in the old town of Altea which is very well preserved and you can enjoy a long walk along the cobblestone streets, taking pictures of the old houses, mostly in blue and white. You can make the most of the Old Town by visiting some of its attractions, like the “Plaza de la Iglesia”, or the church square, lined with restaurants and bars or the church of Nuestra Señora del Consuelo, also known as La Mare de Déu del Consol (Our Lady of Solace). You can also stop by the “Cronistas de España” viewpoint, to appreciate the view from the best spot in the city or drink in the traditional bar, La Mascarada. The last and sweet stop in this tour will be at the Valor Chocolate Museum. Valor is Spain’s best-selling chocolate brand and has been making superb chocolate for more than 125 years. It’s main factory in Villajoyosa you will take a tour to a fun chocolate museum and free chocolate testing at the end of the tour. After that we will return to Murcia.
